About Pastor Jamie
Pastor Jamie is the Associate Pastor at FBCLA with a concentration in the areas of Worship and Education. Jamie and his wife Melissa moved to Los Alamos in September of 1999 when Jamie came on staff at FBCLA. Jamie grew up in the small southern NM town of Truth or Consequences. Jamie and Melissa met at NMSU in Las Cruces, NM where Jamie received a degree in psychology and Melissa a degree in elementary education. Jamie and Melissa married in August of 1995 and moved to Fort Worth, TX where Melissa worked for three years as an elementary school teacher while Jamie completed a Masters degree from Southwestern Seminary.
Since arriving in Los Alamos, the Dukes have added significantly to their family. They have a 9 year old daughter (Emily), a 5 year old son (Ryan) and a 2 year old daughter (Megan). The Dukes love living in Los Alamos and serving the Fellowship at FBCLA. God continues to do wondrous and amazing things through our Fellowship.
Jamie is a music enthusiast and enjoys playing, listening, and teaching music. He loves the outdoors; particulary hiking with his family and mountain biking. He loves spending time with his wife, playing with his kids, exercise, talk radio, and watching baseball and football. He longs for the day when the Texas Rangers bring home the pennant to The Ballpark in Arlington.
